A question we keep coming back to while building: if the operating system carries the coordination, what is left for the operator? The honest answer is the part that was always the actual job — and was always getting crowded out.

Which customers to say yes to. When to absorb a cost to keep a relationship. Which exception is a one-off and which is a signal worth changing the company over. Whether to grow into a new line of work this year or hold. None of that delegates, because none of it is coordination — it is judgment, and it is the operator's.

So the test we hold ourselves to is narrow: did the operator's day move toward those calls, or away from them? A surface that adds a new thing to manage fails the test, even if it is clever. That is the bar.
